Steph waits patiently in the thick forest near the creek. Only one animal appears around Hour 5 - a small musk deer - to drink from the river's edge, then scamper away back into the jungle.
Steph finally breaks through the border between internal jungle and beachside forest, following the creek back to her camp.
She can gather plenty of fallen wood on her trip through the jungle for a fire, and though it might take her a few more hours after dark to get the flames going and cook her captured fish, she should be able to accomplish what she wants to before Morning 002 (albeit without a whole lot of room for sleep afterwards).
