He searches around a bit longer to see if he can pick up the footprint trail. If he can't, he eventually just sighs and tosses the branch away, makes a note of the location of that airplane wing, and then heads for the small structures to the north. He'll search the areas he passes through pretty thoroughly, but he moves with purpose.
