IC DATES: Day 12 STARTING SQUARE: III.F.20 ENDING SQUARE: Traveling east along the coast DETAILS: Rust will join Lalo in his inspection and subsequent stake out of the fish trap! As soon as he’s alerted to the trap’s existence he’ll search the area for tracks. Assuming the stake out yields nothing mind-blowing (that was a Lalo’s death joke), while Lalo implements his anti-tracking measures Rust’ll examine the trees (and bushes) near the river—what kind are they? Any recently snapped-off branches or anything caught in the leaves?
As he and Lalo head east along the coastline, Rust will also (if possible—they might be too far away) check the little stacks of stones he left as trail markers to see if they’ve been disturbed or altered. He’ll even go as far as to examine the individual stones in a few of the piles, but won’t check them all exhaustively.
Also: if it turns out the dead bird Lalo found matches the feather pile Rust saw, he’ll keep his eyes peeled for any more of them (hopefully alive…)—he’ll look for tracks and want to learn how they behave and what they sound like.
