The crossbow bolt is on its own, lying on the sand. It's like someone put it there as a treat, just for them - but of course there are no tracks or blood trails that Rust can find. The bolt's shaft is made from cedar, and the arrowhead is pressed and sharpened metal (although it looks like it's been used and reused several times, with chips in the edges turning it ragged).

The glove looks like a typical driving glove, but cheap, made of black and white polyester, and for a left hand. The beach carry case is a sort of striped canvas tote with a simple button clasp at the top.
