He’ll take the crab for later (and probably stab it to make it amenable to transport) but bury the egg somewhere noticeable so he can snag it on the way back, ideally. Definitely taking the driftwood and the aloe, that stuff’s edible and good for hydration.
As for the cliff…this is where he would just fly :( he’d try to make his jets work again, but when they don’t, he’s going to investigate the cliff face and river.
1) does the cliff hang over the river so that, were someone to try and free climb, they might fall into the water? (Also any notable rocks at the edges?)
2) Even if the answer is yes, how deep is the river water around that section?
