The tendons look pretty rank, like they've been sitting out for a while, and because of some probably opportunistic coconut crabs they are in significant disorder. It's impossible to tell what animal they came from.
The carvings on the bone look like a bunch of random, but nevertheless roughly aligned scratches. They're a bit too deliberate to be claw or tooth marks. Rust finds it while he's packing up the previous night's camp, conspicuously left out next to the foot of a nearby tree, alarmingly close to where he was keeping watch.
The arrow roughly matches the ones he and Lalo have encountered before, although the fletching is from a different type of feather (striking blue and black). No blood is visible on it.
Most of the animal calls Rust hears in the night are the bleats of ungulates - deer or antelope, probably, maybe an...elk? Hard to say for sure, they're pretty far away.
