Rust will (attempt to, though he should be able to handle it) disassemble the pair of foot traps, leaving their components where they are, and leave the pitfall as he found it, since it's already been triggered. He'll snoop around the blind for tracks, the remains of a campfire, or any other hints as to who built it/what happened to them. The need for water will prevent him from sticking around too long, but he'll do as thorough a search as he can since...it seems like whoever it was might be dead 🙃

He won't try to catch or follow the reptiles, but he will take a look at their tracks if possible--would anything stand out? Does it look like they travel in groups?

Aaaaaand some questions!

Where/in what position does he find the chassis (is it flipped over, twisted up, etc.)? Are there any signs of impact lmao or signs of it having been moved? Any recent damage to it? Are the wheels (and/or spare tire) intact?

What's the pocket knife's handle made of and what condition is the blade in?

How old does the vent cover look (is it rusted, etc.)? Is it heavy-duty/for industrial purposes or just a regular old vent cover?

What are the batons made of? Are they (basically) identical?

Is the flashlight in working order? How big is it?
