You can have him arrive in a mechanical body if you'd like, but he'll have the same physical restrictions that a human body would have, i.e. a need for sustenance. This can be food and water, or it can be something related to being mechanical, like electricity or scrap metal. He'll also still get sick.
You can! Each of the characters involved would post their own search requests, as normal, but they would mention in the request that they're searching with X people and what each of them is up to.
