Apologies - I didn't take very good notes on the landmarks in this location! Let me describe them a bit better:

In squares XV.A.19 and XIV.FF.19, there are two already-sprung simple foot traps. These are where Rust finds the reptile and large rodent corpses (he'll find the latter on his search around the area during Morning 036).

In square XV.A.17, Rust finds a simple pitfall trap, already triggered. This is where the small deer corpse is.

In square XV.A.18, Rust finds a small, simple ground blind, or the remains of one anyway. This is the closest he comes to discovering a full campsite in this area, and it doesn't look like it has been used in quite some time. A few more small feathered reptiles make an appearance in the underbrush as Rust furtively looks around the jungle, of a similar species to the one found in the trap; they don't stick close for long enough to make a more detailed observation, unless Rust wants to try and catch one. He's easily able to follow the coastline due north to hit the southernmost river in tile XI, right before Night 036.
