APPLICATIONS

Before submitting an application, please read the Rules and FAQ.

A reserve is not required to submit an application.
At least 3 comments from a TDM within the last 6 months are required to submit an application.
Applications can be submitted at any time.
Applications can still be submitted if they would go over a character cap, but if they are accepted, they will be added to the waitlist until a spot opens up.
- Waitlisted applications will be allowed into the game in the order they were accepted, as long as an available spot is open for them.
- Waitlisted apps older than 6 months will be removed from the list.
- Players already at character cap cannot submit apps to be added to the waitlist.
Players can only submit one application per AC cycle, and only if they don't already have another application pending, on the waitlist, or reserved.

To submit an application, fill out the form below, post it to your personal or character journal, then comment here with a link to the post. Put your character name + canon in the subject line of your comment. Make sure "Disable Auto-Formatting" isn't selected when you copy/paste the code and post it to your journal.

Pronouns: What pronouns should we use for you?
Contact: How can we best contact you? Put as many methods as you'd like, as long as they're publicly accessible.
Reserve?: Yes/no, with a link to your reserve comment if applicable.

IC INFO
Name: Character's name
Journal: Character's journal that you'll be using to play with in this game.
Canon: The canon your character is from, along with any qualifying details (AU/Canon OC/CRAU/etc.).
Age: How old is your character?
Species: What is your character?

Canon Point: If taken directly from canon, what episode/chapter/level/etc. are they pulled from? If an OC, what's the date and where were they? If CRAU, what events were taking place in the game just before they were pulled (event/thread links will work here, as long as they're public).
Condition: On arrival, will your character be hurt? Sick? Do they have a chronic condition? Medical stuff.

History: A brief summary of events leading up to arriving here - try to keep it under 2000 words, lists are encouraged. Wiki links are acceptable, but should only be used as supplements; I still want to see how you highlight that information in your own words.

Personality: 2000 word maximum over both sections; lists are encouraged, but please also provide details to explain each item.

Pros: Things your character does that people would generally classify as positive (from our perspective or their culture's perspective - up to you how you decide to interpret that). Provide at least three distinct personality traits.

Cons: The opposite of the above, with the same caveats and specifications.

Inventory: What is your character arriving with? Generally they will only arrive with the clothes they're wearing and anything in their pockets, but if you aren't sure, simply list it anyway and it will be approved/denied when the application is processed.

Powers/Abilities: What kinds of superhuman powers and abilities does your character have, and how will they be removed/dampened? If the abilities fundamentally affect how your character looks or interacts with their environment, how do you plan to play your character without them? Lists are encouraged and and wiki links are okay.

TDM Sample: Links to Glencola Reef TDM comments; at least three comments across any number of threads are required, and they need to have been posted within the last 6 months.

The central ocean plateau meets the sea here, resulting in towering oceanside cliffs, jagged scree to break against the tide, and the powerful currents and massive waves that flash between them. Fortunately, you've drifted onto a strip of rocky beach at the bottom of the cliffs instead of being bashed against them; unfortunately, the tide will inevitably come back in, which is going to make your current situation precarious if you don't hurry up that cliff.

Just a few kilometers to the north, you can see the mouth of a seaside cave poking out from the water. There's a few other, smaller cave openings at various points along the cliff, but this one looks like it's big enough to fit a small boat through.

You awaken near the tip of a small, sandy peninsula - or possibly a corner of the island itself. The sand is warm and pleasant underfoot here, the ocean waves are gentle, and the jungle trees just inland are growing strong. The water must get deep pretty quickly here, given the clearly visible tips of long, black fins and puffs of air from a pod of whales close to shore.

Interestingly, you aren't the only one waking up on this particular stretch of beach. There's someone sprawled out on the sand just south of you.

Squalo's prosthetic hand can be slightly more durable than a normal hand, insomuch as it is made of an artificial material and he won't have any feeling in it.
The Rain Flames ability Squalo possesses will be completely inert - he will not be able to activate it, and it will have no passive effects on others. Whether or not you want to play this out as a "restriction" (he can still sense that he has his abilities, but is unable to draw on them in any meaningful way) or a "nullification" (it feels like his abilities are completely gone) is something I'll leave up to you.
All of Squalo's possessions will arrived absolutely soaked with saltwater - including the cellphone, wallet, and chewing gum. The cellphone likely won't work again until it is thoroughly dried and cleaned.
If the cellphone is powered up successfully again, it will not have any cell service and there will be no WiFi networks available to connect to. Please let me know if he has apps on the phone that would allow him to check for other EM frequencies, and if he ever attempts to use them.

While I can't accommodate your request for Rust's starting condition for Game Mechanics reasons, I can guarantee you that there are plenty of ways for him to injure himself seriously on the island. I'll make a note to stack my dice for his first few search requests C:
All of Rust's gear will arrive absolutely soaked through with saltwater, including his wristwatch (unless it's waterproof), gun, lighter, and pager - which likely won't work until they are dried and thoroughly cleaned - and his wallet and cigarettes. The kilo of cocaine, thankfully, is safe in its plastic wrapping.
If Rust's pager is repaired, he'll notice that it isn't picking up wireless signals from anywhere.

(Sorry for the lengthy notes - Jet is an interesting case for depowering and I have many thoughts! If I don't talk about it below, then what you've put is fine as it is.)
For any of Jet's extendable/retractable parts (the jets and his wings/stabilizers), those can still be present, just as long as they aren't able to extend/retract on their own and any secondary powered functions (such as the jets igniting for flight) cannot be accessed.
The jet fuel in his various jet extremities can still be there, if you'd like it to be. Count them as "pockets" - someone will just have to pry his panels open to access them.
Jet's HUD will not be able to give him any readouts; how you decide to play this out is up to you. He could just have normal human vision, for example, or the HUD layout still appears in his vision but its readouts are all blank and none of its secondary functions (zooming in on targets) can be activated.
In general, while most of Jet's body can remain non-organic, his cybernetic bits will not be significantly more durable than a normal human's equivalent body parts. It might hurt a bit more if he slaps someone with a metal hand, though. His modified organs will also operate at a human level - he'll still have to breathe, sleep, drink, and consume nutrients at the same rates as an equivalently-massed human (the stomach mods can still help sustain his cybernetic parts, though, if you want them to).

While the Cat would operate as a depowered cat, some of his cat senses are improved from baseline human senses, so those would also be nerfed - things like his better sense of smell, hearing, and night vision would all be human-equivalent. Probably - it's very dark and hard to see much of anything, including the holes in the bedrock surrounding her.
