CHARACTER DEATH

Death is not permanent on the island for reasons that are not fully understood at this time. Characters that die simply disappear, leaving behind all of their possessions obtained after arrival, and some time later - usually the next morning - they will wash up on shore in the same state they were in when they first showed up.

...Or, mostly the same. Certain Plot Factors may make characters come back a little different. These changes could be physical, psychological, or possessions-based, and they could last only a few hours up to until the character's next death. Exactly why these changes occur will have to be figured out by the characters.

REPORT A DEATH

If your character has died, please fill out the form below and reply with it to this post. You should receive a mod reply with the revival date (IC and OOC), revival location, and any secondary effects on your character within the next two days. You do not need to post here for a death related to a hiatus, canon update, or drop. You still can if you want, but it is not required.

Shaw will awaken on Morning 004 (May 24th 2023) in square I.BB.17. The tile description is:

You awaken at the tip of a sandy peninsula. The jungle looks thin behind you, like the sandy soil can just barely support the growth of the willowy palms that slump over the tide.

All of Shaw's in-game-acquired possessions will be missing. All of her arrival items, however, will be with her, in the same condition as they were in when she arrived (including the replacement of her fired bullets). Shaw herself will also be in the same arrival condition, lacking any signs that she was injured before death or killed in the first place save her own memories of the event.
